Please join us for our 3rd Annual Wine & Cheese Fundraiser to be held at UM Alumni Center from 7pm – 11pm.  Wine provided by Pantry Liquors II and food by Mena Catering.

This year’s event will include exciting Raffle, amazing Silent Auction to include fantastic travel experiences, jewelry, etc. and Dr. Stephen Lipshultz from Wayne University as this year’s speaker.

In support of our Pediatric Cancer Awareness Campaign Garcia’s Seafood Grille & Market is hosting a Happy Hour from 5-7:30pm to Benefit Sofia’s Hope.  50% of the proceeds from the Happy Hour will be donated to Sofia’s Hope!!!!

Sofia’s Hope will be at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School raising awareness of pediatric cancer with the help of Dr. Guillermo DeAngulo, Pediatric Oncologist at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and teen survivor, Andres Hidalgo.  Presentations will be made to middle school students and SH socks will be sold.  Thanks to Mrs. Lisa Figueredo and Fr. Alejandro for their support!!!

Logo 2Sweet Hearts Bake Sale and Lemonade Stand is co-founded by Nina Fonseca and Isabella Torres.  Two amazing 11 year olds who have decided to take a stand against pediatric cancer with the idea that something a lil’ sweet will bring a whole lot of hope – hope to children with cancer, hope to their families and hope for a cure.


Their first fundraising event will be take place on Saturday, August 20th at Kate Spade in the Shops at Merrick from 2pm – 6pm.  Please mark your calendars and come out in support of Nina and Isabella.  All proceeds will be donated to Sofia’s Hope.  If you cannot make it, please consider donating by clicking below and using either your credit card or PayPal account.  Thanks!!!!

3rd Annual Wine & Cheese Fundraiser will be held at the University of Miami Alumni Hall (6200 San Amaro Drive, 33146) from 7 – 10 pm.  Food and Beverage by Mena Catering.  Activities include a raffle, silent auction and a presentation by Dr. Stephen Lipshultz, Chair of the WSU Department of Pediatrics, Pediatrician-in-Chief of Detroit Medical Center’s Children’s Hospital of Michigan and President of University Pediatricians and recipient of the SH 2016 Research Grant.


Tickets are $100/person or $150/couple and can be purchased on-line or at the event.  All proceeds raised will be used to support all of Sofia’s Hope programs and the 2017 research grant.
