In support of Childhood Cancer Awareness month (September) Sofia’s Hope created an awareness program directed at the young people of our community.  We believe it important for them to know the facts about childhood cancer and why increased funding for research is so important.

As part of the program, a board certified pediatric oncologist from Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, a teen cancer survivor and a Sofia’s Hope representative present to high school and middle school students in Miami.  Presentations also include question and answer sessions.

Our hope is that by providing the youth of our community with the right information in an age appropriate manner, it will inspire them to use their talents and power to support this cause and make a difference.
